You Are Significant

by Pastor Ken

David recognized that the very same God who formed the universe, who created him hears his voice. He recognized that even if no one else in the universe cared about his situation, the one who created the universe does.

God cares about the details of your life, He hears your voice, never stop communicating with Him, never stop seeking Him.

3 Truths:
1. God Hears Your Voice
2. God Listens to what you have to say.
3. This should be reason enough to keep talking to God

I love the lord because he hears my voice
and my prayer for mercy.
Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath!
Psalm 116:1-2

Good Advice

by Pastor Ken

It wasn't that long ago when I was considered a young person. I also remember how smart I thought I was, but now as a wiser and older person I discovered that good advice is better than gold.

The writer here in Psalm 119 says that there is a way a young person can stay pure, to benefit fully in this life. Its by getting plugged into your word and then doing what it says.

Good News for you young people!

His word will:

1. Provide the strength you need in tough times
2. Provide the knowledge you need for everyday living.
3. Provide direction for your future.

How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word. Psalm 119:9

Not Just Rules

by Pastor Ken

I think all too often, people think of the Bible is a book of rules.

But in fact it is a manual for living.

We have to ask ourselves what make of any manual sends it's creator to every user of its instructions personally out to help that person understand and keep the rules. I only know one: God

Today if you could remember three things:

1. God has more than just rules for your life, He has the recipe for abundant
living.
2. His plans will never fail and they always result in blessings

3. He will help you understand and keep His purpose for your life.

Today is the day to give over your life to His care and control. Give Jesus the steering wheel and you will get to your destination.

Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.
~Psalm 119:27

Are You Tired, Feeling Weathered By Life, Good News

by Pastor Ken

The Bible says that even "Young Men" grow faint and get weary. So those that have all their strength and all the vigor of youth become weary. Even youth cannot supply the strength to not become faint or the stamina to not become weary.

But the "Good News" is that those who "wait" look for earnestly seek after will renew their strength. That means if you want to be strengthened you can, just look for your strength to come from the maker of heaven and earth.

Three things:

1. God can renew your strength on a daily basis.
2. God can rescue you from the weariness of this life.
3. God can rejuvenate even the most exhausted of lives.

Look for
Seek after
Find the strength that has no limits.

God is Good All the TIme.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:30-31

Re-Kindle The Fire

by Pastor Ken

When we begin with the Lord its like a raging fire was set in our hearts. We feel renewed, refreshed and restored. But as life goes on and things become routine that flame doesn't burn so bright.

I think sometimes you get up on Sunday and think, oh I am feeling lazy or tired, I will just miss today.

Daniel Brown once shared a vision he once had. In his vision he saw a boat and in the bottom of the boat was the ballast stones, they were the very things that steadied the boat in a time of storms, they kept the boat from capsizing, they make the boat steady and true. But the Lord showed him that the stones in this boat had become pumice, gravel, they had lost their purpose. The very thing that had steadied the vessel has lost the intended purpose. The Lord told Him that this is what happens when the word becomes stale in your life. The word is alive and we need to be being refreshed by it, renewed in it, stirring it up.

If we don't make the word alive, rekindle the word and our relationship with the Lord, if serving God doesn't stay at the center of our lives, our ballast stones will become pumice and lose their power to steady our course.

Today:

Steady your course by:

1. Returning to the Lord with the same hunger as when you begin.
2. Remember the victories the Lord has given you..
3. Rejoice in the God who spared nothing to reach and save you.

We should always rejoice to be near and worship our Lord.

I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the lord.” Psalm 122:1
