Jesus the Rock

by Pastor Ken

When I read this portion of scripture I am reminded that the rock represents Jesus, and how He was poured out as an offerring poured out for many.   God sent His Son as an offerring that would satisfy the sacrafice required to restore us to right standing with God.  He came to Renew, to Restore, to Refresh and Revive us.

Just as water refreshes, renews and revitalizes us, so is Jesus sacrafice meant to  do.

Have you taken hold of the Rock (Jesus Christ)?
  • Are you being renewed by His Sacrafice?
  • Are you being refreshed by His Presences?
  • Have you allowed the Power of His Spirit Revive You?
When we recieve Jesus like this as living water (John 4:10) we are changed by His presence, we are refreshed, renewed and revived.   See the gift of God is His Son Jesus Christ and like the water that poured out from the rock it was intended for all that gathered, irregardless of their race, size, social position anyone who gathered would receive the gift of life giving water that day.   See that is the greatness of the "Good News" it has power, it is for everyone who will "Receive" it, its for you and for me.

Give your life to Jesus today, receive the free gift, it promises to change your life in a way it was meant to be changed.

“You and Aaron must take the staff and assemble the entire community. As the people watch, speak to the rock over there, and it will pour out its water. You will provide enough water from the rock to satisfy the whole community and their livestock.”   ~Numbers 20:1-12

Don't put it off. Do it now!

by Pastor Ken

A lot of us put things off; we do just that, we say: not now, later, but I want to tell you some truth: "the when's" of life often don't come and then its too late.

If you don't know whether you will go to heaven when you leave this place, then take the advice of Proverbs 6:4 and don't put it off, do it now! You can know for sure today:

The Bible says:

  •  We all need a savior: (Romans 3:23)
  •  If we recognize that we are sinners and ask for forgiveness we will receive forgiveness (1 John 1:9)
  •  if we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts Jesus is Lord then we will be saved: (Romans 10:9)
  •  Once we make those steps now is the real blessing, A relationship with the one who saved you Jesus Christ, we move on to greater understanding of who Christ is in our lives. ( Romans 5:1)

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

Don't put it off. Do it now!

Proverbs 6:4 Don't put it off. Do it now! Don't rest until you do.

The Lord Tests His Leaders

by Pastor Ken

If we look at the life of Joseph we can see his life was not without testing.   God has great plans for you and I, but it will include some testing, I believe even though the Lord
knew Josephs strengths and his weaknesses, He allowed testing to happen in Josephs life to make him a better leader to shape his life, his character.   You and I if we are going to be great leaders,
we are going to have to endure some testing.

I think that you can see that it was Josephs relastionship with the Lord, his character that made him a great leader and useful for God.   We can become great when we submit our lives to God and through His word we draw out His principles and make them our principles, His direction and make them our direction.   God wants to bring you into your dream, your vision,
however it is the process that makes you a great candidate and how you handle that process that will bring you to become a great leader.

If we want to be great leaders:

  • We should be prepared to be tested
  • We should be willing to directed
  • We should be ready for success

God will start wtih vision, then with testing, supplying direction and if we submit to the process we will ultimately be successful.

19 Until the time came to fulfill his dreams,
the lord tested Joseph’s character.
20Then Pharaoh sent for him and set him free;
the ruler of the nation opened his prison door.
21Joseph was put in charge of all the king’s household;
he became ruler over all the king’s possessions.  ~ Psalm 105:19-21

Blessed Because We Believe

by Pastor Ken

The amazing thing about this verse in John 20 is this: I believe, and  I am more blessed because of it, although I have not physically seen Jesus with my eyes, I have seen Him in the very details of my life. I have experienced His power in my life:

I am blessed because: though I have never seen Him this is still true:

  •  I have received His salvation
  •  I have power to overcome
  •  I have every provision for everyday life.

I am blessed because I don't need to see Him to know Him and to experience His power and Presence in my life.

Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” John 20:29

Be careful What You Hear

by Pastor Ken

Jesus said that the fruit of a persons life expose their intentions. He warns us to watch out for false prophets, people seeking to elevate themselves, those that are pride motivated, who's intentions are personal of nature, not God centered.

Truth not every voice we hear is from God

Ways to evaluate a word.

. 1. Is it motivated out of love
2. Is it clear
3. Does it line up with God's word

Remember this "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." James 4:6

15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. ~Matthew 7:15-18
