All In

by Pastor Ken

Scripture:

Numbers 14:24

But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.

"All In"

One of the things that stands true, even with our children, is not what we say that has the most impact, but what we do, the saying "more is caught than taught."  The LORD says something so important about Caleb and Joshua, first that they "Wholeheartedly" served Him, and Caleb that he had "a different spirit in him."  Qadash, set apart, see Caleb and Joshua were set apart, they stood out, they did not go with the flow, they were Kingdom-minded, the things of God mattered to them, and it reflected in their lives.  The people felt like grasshoppers unable to step into the promised land, but Caleb and Joshua trusted fully that the Lord would give them what He promised.   See, when you are "All In," you fully trust that the LORD is the one who will do it, and you lean on His strength, on His power; you are not scared to face the giants in the land.

The challenge here today is that we would examine our lives, where we are wholeheartedly following the LORD, and where we are not, asking ourselves have I allowed my ability to prevent me from stepping into something God has promised me.  Have I fully trusted God in all the areas of my life? Am I leaning on His power, His strength to take me where He is leading me?   And then in the places that I am not, to realign my life so that I am.

Lord, I pray that we would have a different spirit in us, that we would stand out from the crowd, the patterns of the world, that we would learn to fully trust you in all things, that our lives would be so much better as a result, that you would produce in us the things that you have planned, that we would not be derailed by the lies of the enemy, in Jesus' name, Amen!
