Scripture:

Proverbs 19:17

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord,
And He will pay back what he has given.

 

 

"Generosity"

You and I must look for opportunities to be generous, to help those in need, to be the hands and feet of Jesus (Matthew 25).   Sometimes the greatest evangelism, the greatest way to show God's love toward others, is through acts of kindness.  St Francis of Assisi said, "Preach the gospel at all times and sometimes use words."   Our actions speak louder than our words. 

 

Something else I have learned from this principle, wisdom, is that when you develop a habit of being generous, you will see that God will send others into your life.

 

 

 

Today's God Shot:   Be generous; don't be oblivious to those who are struggling; help them up, help others in their need, and this verse says God will take care of you and yours.

 

 

Lord, I pray that you would help us to reach many through practical love and acts of kindness, help us spread your Gospel, reach people, help people, in Jesus' name, Amen!
