The God Who Meets You Where You're At

by Pastor Ken

Scripture:
Genesis 47:27
27 Now the Israelites settled in Egypt in the region of Goshen. They acquired property there and were fruitful and increased greatly in number.

If you pay attention you will see it through Jacob (Israel's) life, and you see it in Joseph's life, this providential power.   How God was meeting them exactly where they were.   Maybe they were not where they thought they should be, or even wanted to be but God had prospered and brought increase.

Maybe today as you look around you are not satisfied with the place you are in, but as you look you will see God's hand too, lifting you up, sustaining you, giving you  strength, providing for you, allowing you to expand, enlarge, and grow.

The application here is to be thankful, thankful not for the place you don't want to be or think you don't belong in, but rather "the place you are at where God is with you," and that you have not been abandoned or alone, but are blessed in the land you are in.

Thank you Lord, that you are always with us through the favorable places, and even the places we wish we were not in.  That you are faithful, and just, and merciful, and gracious always providing and allowing us to grow and expand in the land you have us, my heart is grateful and I thank you Lord, in Jesus' name Amen!
