Ezra 5:5,6:3-6

5:5 But the eye of their God was watching over the elders of the Jews, and they were not stopped until a report could go to Darius and his written reply be received

3 In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: “Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits, 4 with three rows of heavy stones and one row of new timber. Let the expenses be paid from the king’s treasury. 5 Also let the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple which is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and taken back to the temple which is in Jerusalem, each to its place; and deposit them in the house of God”—

"Who Can Stop His Plans"

When you and I set out to do the work of the Lord in our lives, believe you me, the enemy will not like this, and he will do whatever he can to thwart the plan and cause trouble. If you read Ezra chapter 4, you will see that the enemy comes in pretending to worship God and wanting to help, but the elders are not fooled and refuse to let them. In turn, the enemy sends letters to the king slandering the work, claiming that these "rebellious people" will only rebel against the king. Sure enough, when the king looks back, he sees that their rebellion against God actually landed them in captivity in Babylon. But you and I know that this plan is from God to see the temple rebuilt, and here we discover that nothing will stop that.   

I included Ezra 5:5 because after they are stopped and discouraged in chapter 4, they are able to get back to work, but some inspectors see the work and question them, but God had His eye on them... 

Let that sit with you for a moment. God has His eye on you and the things that you are doing for Him, He is with you, yes you will see difficulties; yes the enemy will try to discourage you, and derail the progress, but God is with you in it.   

Not only was God with them, but He had the King fund the whole rebuild, restore the treasure to the house of the Lord, and provide the sacrifice.  

Today our God-Shot is that "Nothing can stop the plan of God in your life."   (Philippians 1:6) Nothing can stop it!.   Be aware that the enemy is always going to try to stop the plan of God in your life, always going to try to discourage, slow down, derail the plans so that you get frustrated and give up, but today remember that God is with you and the plan of God cannot be stopped, that is what Phillipians 1:6 says the good work that He began in you He will bring to completion. 

Lord, I pray that you would encourage those who have been derailed by the lies of the enemy, that they would not give up, that they would know that you have had your eye on them since they set out to do your work, to walk in your purpose, help them, supply their needs, send encouragement, those will labor with them, those who will speak encouragement in the name of Jesus'. Amen!
